Growing Optometry practice is seeking a front desk assistant with medical billing experience. Looking for candidates with at least 2 years of experience, a cheerful disposition, team player, ability to multitask, self-starter, punctual, and has reliable transportation.
Answering phones
Greeting patients
Insurance verification
Vision and medical claim submittal
Posting payments & generating statements
Resolving denied or unpaid claims
Following up on unpaid patient balances
Managing the aging report, accounts receivable and communication with patients about outstanding balances
Other duties as required

High level of attention to detail and accuracy to ensure successful submission of claims data
To Qualify You Must Have:
High School Diploma
2+ years of medical billing – vision billing is a plus
Strong experience with submitting/editing claims
Appeals/denials background
Excellent attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Must have a medical background or long-term career goal in the medical field
Bilingual/Spanish is a plus

Moderate physical activity required bending and reaching
Frequent sitting and standing required
Viewing computer screen continuously while seated for long periods of time
Ability to speak and hear clearly over the telephone is a must to perform duties effectively
